Next-generation aerospace systems demand fluid transfer systems that perform without compromise. Insulon Vacuum Jacketed Hose is engineered to meet those demands, with proprietary technology that enables operation from -270°C to 815°C, the widest rated temperature range available in a vacuum jacketed hose, and a hermetically sealed vacuum space with no pump-out port for a cleaner installation and no long-term vacuum maintenance requirements.
For the most thermally demanding applications, Insulon Vacuum Jacketed Hose with MLI includes proprietary high-density multi-layer insulation inside the sealed vacuum annulus. Insulon Vacuum Jacketed Hose with MLI reduces cryogenic boil-off by up to 45% compared to other vacuum jacketed hoses on the market.
For applications that require lighter weight, more compact, or more flexible hoses, see Insulon Vacuum Jacketed Hose, Standard. Full specifications and variant comparison are published on the Insulon product comparison and specifications page.

Features and Benefits
Proprietary MLI Reduces Cryogenic Boil-Off by Up to 45%
Standard vacuum jacketed hose eliminates convection and conduction heat transfer. Insulon MLI variants go further: proprietary high-density multilayer insulation inside the hermetically sealed annulus blocks radiation as well. Insulon vacuum jacketed hose with MLI reduces cryogenic boil-off by up to 45% compared to other vacuum jacketed hoses on the market. For continuous-flow cryogenic service – where accumulated heat leak over hours or days directly drives propellant loss, coolant consumption, or detector noise floor – the difference is measurable and significant. See the boil-off reduction data.
Most versatile Vacuum Jacketed Hose product line on the market
Four base models (LP STD, HP STD, LP MLI, HP MLI) cover every combination of pressure rating and insulation level – all from one manufacturer. Length is specified by the inch from 18 in to 780 in, end fittings are selected per assembly from a broad range of standard types with different fittings on each end if needed, and optional outer braid is available for abrasion protection. For requirements beyond the standard product line, Insulon is also available in custom high-pressure configurations and in alternative alloys such as Inconel for ultra-high temperature service.
Fully Annealed Construction Resists Hydrogen Embrittlement
Insulon Vacuum Jacketed Hose uses 316/316L stainless steel in the fully annealed condition throughout. Fully annealed stainless steel resists hydrogen embrittlement (a failure mode that affects non-annealed and cold-worked alloys exposed to hydrogen service over time). For liquid hydrogen and gaseous hydrogen lines, specifying Insulon means the inner bore material is in the correct metallurgical condition for hydrogen service. Note: cryo-compressed hydrogen (ccH2) service requires a custom high-pressure configuration; contact us to discuss.
LOX-Compatible Cleanliness Available
Liquid oxygen service demands stricter cleanliness standards that must be specified and documented. Insulon Vacuum Jacketed Hose assemblies are available cleaned to ASTM G93 Level A upon request for an additional fee.
100% Thermal Testing on Every Assembly
Every Insulon Vacuum Jacketed Hose assembly is thermally tested before shipment. Additional tests including hydrostatic pressure tests, nitrogen decay tests are available upon request. Concept Group LLC manufactures Insulon hose under an ISO 9001:2015 certified quality management system.
Fast lead times, Made-to-Order
All Insulon hose assemblies are made-to-order with quick lead times. For programs managing tight integration schedules, a short and predictable lead time reduces schedule risk. Lead times are subject to change based on manufacturing queue at time of order; contact us to confirm current availability or to request expedited options.
