Coolant lines exposed to high ambient temperatures can suffer from heat soak, reducing their effectiveness and system performance. When external heat penetrates insulation and warms the coolant media, thermal management becomes more difficult. Cooling equipment is forced to work harder, consuming more energy and decreasing efficiency.

Standard insulation materials (foam, fiberglass, etc.) offer limited protection in high temperature conditions. These compressible materials can degrade over time, leading to a loss in insulation performance. They also require cumbersome manual installation. In high temperature systems, particularly those over 200 degrees Celsius, exposure to radiant heat also demands a more robust insulation solution.
