Selecting the right performance level for high temp vacuum jacketed hoses

For high temperature fluid transfer applications that require very high levels of insulation performance, Insulon Vacuum Jacketed Hose provides a compact, effective, and reliable solution. Insulon hoses are used to insulate high temperature fluids up to 815 degrees Celsius (1500 degrees Fahrenheit).

Critical high temperature fluid transfer applications include deposition lines in semiconductor manufacturing; steam lines in food production processes; and hot exhaust gases found in a range of industrial applications.

Insulon Vacuum Jacketed Hose are available in two performance levels: Standard and High Performance (MLI). Standard Insulon hoses are engineered to be compact, lightweight, and highly flexible. Insulon hoses with MLI are engineered with multi-layer insulation to deliver the maximum thermal insulation performance. Both performance levels include the following features:

  • Diameters: 1/4″, 3/8″, 1/2″, 3/4″, and 1″ ID
  • Lengths: 0.6 to 20 meters (1.5 to 65.6 feet)
  • Operating temperature: -270 to 815 C (-454 to 1500 F)
  • Material: 316L stainless steel
  • Pressure: High pressure and low pressure options
  • End fittings: Compatible with a wide range of end fittings
  • Delivery: Quick lead times

Standard Insulon Vacuum Jacketed Hose

Standard Insulon vacuum jacketed hoses are engineered to deliver outstanding thermal insulation in a lightweight, compact, and flexible transfer line. Standard Insulon hoses use ultra-deep Insulon vacuum barriers to minimize convective and conductive heat transfer. Unique benefits include:

  • Sleekest, most compact design
  • Smaller outer diameter than most other vacuum jacketed hoses
  • Very flexible; Smaller minimum bend radius
  • Lightweight, ergonomic hoses ideal for mobile applications

Insulon Vacuum Jacketed Hoses with MLI

Insulon Hose MLI is engineered with multi-layer insulation (MLI) for maximum thermal insulation performance. Insulon hoses with MLI use proprietary, high-density MLI to minimize radiation heat transfer. While these hoses deliver the best thermal performance, they are slightly larger, heavier, and less flexible than standard Insulon hoses.
